A is for Atlas is hitting the Pozible route and the work has begun for what will be a brilliant video, combined with a talented team, a grand vision and a bit of play on the beaches of Port Melbourne.

I first met Rose whilst filming work for The Faders under the direction of  Rochelle Carmichael.

One thing led to another, and we found ourselves in the Liquid Skin Studios space filming her self-choreographed work for a grant for an overseas submission.

Proof is in the pudding.

The Astor is a long standing cinephile’s paradise. Screening classics as well as new films in this beautiful building for many years, The Astor holds a dear place in the heart of many people. There’s nothing like a double bill, too much popcorn and a massive screen to keep your imagination flowing.

Whilst The Astor’s future remains uncertain, it’s strength lies in its devotion to cinema and the community at large. It’s acquisition of one of the best 4K digital projection systems in Melbourne is a testament to what it has to offer, both now and in the future.
